Description

Free Training for Community Workers, Volunteers and Peers*

Would you like to better support people living with mental health conditions?

Many of us are not experts in mental health, yet we support people living with mental health conditions in our daily work.

This free training trial helps people in community settings to understand and work with people with mental health conditions.

If you work in any community setting, you are invited to come along, take part in the training, share your ideas and join us for lunch.

Over the last 6 months, the Mental Health Coordinating Council (MHCC), has met with more than a hundred people in Sydney and Dubbo to talk about mental health supports. We asked what is working, what makes a fulfilling life, how to include people living with mental health conditions in communities and what recovery means to people.

In these free training workshops you will hear about recovery, mental health services, the NDIS, how to create healing environments and empowerment. We will ask for your ideas and feedback on the training content.

Please come along and help us trail training materials that will later be made available across Australia.

Sydney: 10 and 11 September, 9am-1pm
